Unity College is America’s Environmental College. A small, baccalaureate institution located in mid-coast Maine, Unity is dedicated to sustainability, science, and service. If you plan to pursue a career in the environmental field, we have 16 specialized bachelor degree programs to choose from, all grounded in the liberal arts. Unity graduates leaders with strong educational backgrounds and the passion to conserve our planet for future generations.

Here are a few quick facts you might find enticing:

• We built the first and only Passive House Certified residence hall in the U.S. (that means it’s so energy efficient it can be heated with a hair dryer during Maine winters, pretty cool huh?)

• The Princeton Review named Unity one of America’s Greenest Colleges

• Unity is the first college/university in the USA to divest from all fossil fuel industry investments

• All students and teachers have one goal – to conserve the environment for future generations

• Our President lives in a carbon-neutral home, equipped with solar panels and built with local products

• All of our programs include extensive hands-on learning opportunities where you take the skills learned inside the classroom and apply them in real-world settings

• Unity is located in the mid-coast of Maine with easy access to the mountains and the ocean

• Eighty percent of students in the 2012 graduating class had jobs or were enrolled in grad school prior to graduation

• With a 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get to know your professors and assist with research projects
